Well...really..its been such a long time since I've typed or written that my hands real rusty....!!! Got so much to talk about but the indolence in me has taken over me.Well...to cut a long story short I have started working, yes..atlast thankfully not one of those jobless engineers roaming the streets of India.I have joined an MNC but the irony of life..despite of having a job i am still JOBLESS...! will explain this later in one of my other posts. But for now, this should suffice. I had my training in Ahmadabad for 2 months and then opted to be in the pacy city of pune. However this part of my life can be termed as VETTINESS part 2. And for those who don't understand this term its word used in Tamil lingo when one is potentially got nothing to do in life and that is exactly the state i am in. This is to hoping that there are better days in my life.

Phew...atlast...!!
man...been a long time...and really some good news atlast. Finally got my date of joining in an IT major and ready to join at Ahmedabad. It comes as a big relief and when times are really aren't very good, a job seriously boosts the morale.I have somehow managed to kill time all these months by trying my ahnd at golf, squash an dabbling in all sorts of random activities. Its more out of relief rather than happiness. from what little i have learnt from people Ahmedabad is good place to work and heres hoping for better times...and just wanting to survive and do some meaningful work after a real long time...

THEJOKERS NIGHT

I came out of the "Dark Curtain" for The Dark Knight, and was blown away.
Here I was going into the theatre thinking Batman Begins was excellent...this one takes it to unbelievable heights....!!! Let me start with actors..cristian bale as usual without saying was good. The dark hoarse voice and the portrayal of the caped crusader was to perfection. His perception of justice is something that he keeps combating and carries the himself with ease.
Now the star of the show undoubtedly heath ledger(the joker).....!!!! Even with himself and batman in the screen one is always wondering what the Joker is planning on doing. So that tells you how his screen presence was. What is liked the most was the licking of his lips and the slurp that he does very often. And believe me the character is just as creepy...i rate him higher than hanibal lector( some may disagree) but all will agree his character was really dark and creepy and wat plots.....truly amazing.....!!!! the rest of the cast also did a good job.....but The Joker just stood out.
Now to the action sequences and the screen play etc which were excellent. Some of the stunts just leave you with your mouth left open and it doesn't end....continues for minutes and minutes.Nolan's directing is sublime, the pacing of the movie was so well kept, managing to keep the audience enthralled in an almost 3 hour movie. There were several shots in the film that had me saying "Now how in the hell did they do that?!"
one truly fast paced movie with plenty of action sequences and keeps you guessing right till the end....kudos to nolan....an absolutely fabulous director who knows how to make movies...check out the rest if u haven't. BTW...the movie could've been named THE WHITE KNIGHT just for how Heath Ledger acted....!!! im now just eagerly awaiting the the next Batman movie.....!!!!
my verdict : 10/10 this is one is a must watch else kill yourself...

Babina

Yep...that's the place i'm staying right now..!! BABINA aka British Army Base in Asia..what an acronym..! Came here on 2 August and from that time onwards having a ball. None of my friends have even heard of it....neither had I until I learnt that I was going there.Babs is located some 40 minutes drive from Jhansi( hope people remember rani Laxmi Bai atleast) in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
Well life in the cantonment is really very peaceful and definitely a change from the noisy, polluted environment of the city. Its totally different than Madras, much more calm, subdued, serene and idyllic place..infact a perfect place to chill out. Plenty of trees here, birds chriping and with the golf course and gym just next to my house life cant get any better. And its been pouring everyday...so the weather just becomes better in the evenings...even as i type this down its raining. The other day i had gone for firing of the tanks and BMPs. I had absolute fun and drove a tank for the first time...which was just exciting. The missile testing turned out to be flop due to the launcher. Infact the Army isn't all that bad as a career option.Atleast there's the thrill and excitement packaged in your work which we engineers didn't have while studying and nor will we get it while working. So here's hoping to the good things during my stay in Babs..!

the FLOPSTAR
My string of flops started of in the month of march when i has to attend the TISS interview for my post grads in Bombay and during this period i had my project demo going on. Since it was such an important interview i decided to fly to Bombay and good old Indian Airlines was there for that. My GD as pretty decent but the interview was one major flop...hardly 4 minutes and they showed me the way out. Once i came out i knew that i didn't stand a chance and decided to enjoy the rest of my days in Bombay..and luckily for me I had a few cousins with whom i could have fun. Apart from the interview goof up the stay was really good. Its been 3 months since i have graduated and literally jobless, still awaiting my DOJ for the company that I've been recruited into. Anyways once i had graduated i decided that instead of sitting idle and awaiting my call i would go and get another job, a better one if possible. So I set out my job hunting spree and really this was the first time that I sat and through the opportunities column in the newspaper. And the only stuff that was available regular IT stuff and BPO jobs..I wasn't too keen on either of them.
I got my first break when my friend got me job in one of the BPOs in the city..it was a start...but i was looking for better things in life. Then came my first real big job offer when i attended 4 rounds of the interview process of a major bank. At the end of the day they inform me im not selected because i'm an engineer and it wasn't viable for them to select me ( What bloody rubbish) In the meantime i had also written a couple of tests for the Airforce and a major engineering form. I got selected for both of these and my first trip was to Bangalore to attend the interview at National Instruments. It started off with roughly 42 fellas and finally shortlisted to 12 people(self included) after a series of group discussions. Anyways least to say the interview was totally tech based and since i was in line with their field i was belted left and right. I guess they selected 1 out of the 12 of us. # days after this i had my SSB interview for the Airforce at Mysore and the stay i had there was really memorable. There were about 35 of us who had applied for the same course and after a initial screening they chucked out 12 among us. Anyways the rest of the 5 days was absolute fun where we were involved in different group tasks and activities which were really exciting. At the end of all this they selected only one guy and really it was dampened our spirits.
After all these failures i decided to go my parents and presently im in nice serene place where one can have real piece of mind...wondering whether I've actually learnt from all these experiences or am i actually a loser in life...
vetti...!!!
well its been a helluva long time since I've sat down and typed down something. In retrospect i actually had plenty of time, its just that I have been extremely lazy to do some blogging. In fact all the spice from my life kind of vanished...
Well..what have been upto now..?? For starters I've graduated with a degree in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering...yep..that's right I'm an engineer..!! How i managed to survive 4 years of studies in a college with ridiculous rules God only knows...!!! Anyways managed to pass out couple of months back and for now im sitting hopelessly jobless in a place called Babina which is in Uttar Pradesh wondering what to do in life after a string of flops in my interviews..and apart from that waiting for my date of joining from a IT major and by the looks of it its going to a eternity. Its actually frustrating to sit really jobless having nothing to do and really it just gets exasperating after a certain amount of time and it comes to such a stage that one would even become a sweeper but for heavens sake please give a job is the cry.
This is what we call ' VETTINESS' aka jobless....welcome...!
