the FLOPSTAR

My string of flops started of in the month of march when i has to attend the TISS interview for my post grads in Bombay and during this period i had my project demo going on. Since it was such an important interview i decided to fly to Bombay and good old Indian Airlines was there for that. My GD as pretty decent but the interview was one major flop...hardly 4 minutes and they showed me the way out. Once i came out i knew that i didn't stand a chance and decided to enjoy the rest of my days in Bombay..and luckily for me I had a few cousins with whom i could have fun. Apart from the interview goof up the stay was really good.

Its been 3 months since i have graduated and literally jobless, still awaiting my DOJ for the company that I've been recruited into. Anyways once i had graduated i decided that instead of sitting idle and awaiting my call i would go and get another job, a better one if possible. So I set out my job hunting spree and really this was the first time that I sat and through the opportunities column in the newspaper. And the only stuff that was available regular IT stuff and BPO jobs..I wasn't too keen on either of them.

I got my first break when my friend got me job in one of the BPOs in the city..it was a start...but i was looking for better things in life. Then came my first real big job offer when i attended 4 rounds of the interview process of a major bank. At the end of the day they inform me im not selected because i'm an engineer and it wasn't viable for them to select me ( What bloody rubbish) In the meantime i had also written a couple of tests for the Airforce and a major engineering form. I got selected for both of these and my first trip was to Bangalore to attend the interview at National Instruments. It started off with roughly 42 fellas and finally shortlisted to 12 people(self included) after a series of group discussions. Anyways least to say the interview was totally tech based and since i was in line with their field i was belted left and right. I guess they selected 1 out of the 12 of us. # days after this i had my SSB interview for the Airforce at Mysore and the stay i had there was really memorable. There were about 35 of us who had applied for the same course and after a initial screening they chucked out 12 among us. Anyways the rest of the 5 days was absolute fun where we were involved in different group tasks and activities which were really exciting. At the end of all this they selected only one guy and really it was dampened our spirits.

After all these failures i decided to go my parents and presently im in nice serene place where one can have real piece of mind...wondering whether I've actually learnt from all these experiences or am i actually a loser in life...

well dude... that was a good account of ur life post st. josephs... and as ppl say.. i think it is indeed betta to think tat failures are stepstones to success.. its been true for everyone... that means its gonna be true in ur case as well...

and one major thing that i learned in my life is that.... in the road called Life... if everythin comes towards you... then ur in the wrong path...

so jus chill... ur jus doing the right things... behind every successful man there is a story of hardships.. who knows probably u are in the last part of the hardships...

u have titled this section as the Flopstar... i strongly feel tat it doesn suit a strongwilled confident guy capable of doing anythin... all these interviews u aced thru till the final rounds... tat indeed is very unique and shows wat ur capable of... i bet none of ur classmates in college cud ever reach even the second or the third round of interviews in these organizations... and if u got rejected then its their loss... so jus remain the way u are... and am sure u wil hav a huge success story to talk about...

cheers mate!
